How to select and order bellows expansion joint ? 

       Selecting the proper expansion joint assembly is to collect and organize as much information regarding the design and operating parameters of the pipeline system as possible.You should consider the follwing information:

        1). Size of the line. 

        2). Design pressure.

        3). Design temperature.

        4). Design movements and required cycle life.

        5). Overall length requirement,if any. 

        6). Type of end connections.

        7). Bellows material.

        8). Pipe material.

        9). Flange specification and material. 

        10). Type of expansion joint.

        11). Accessories

        For example,we assume the following expansion joint design criteria:

        a). Line size:20 inch norminal deameter.

        b). Design/operating pressure:180 psig. 

        c). Design/operating temperature: 350ºF

          d). Movement/Cycle life 

         e). End connections : 150# ANSI flange

              Raised face slip-on flanges; ASTM A-105 (carbon steel)

         f).  Bellows material:SS316.

         g). Type: Single ; unrestrained(i.e. no tie rods,hinge,or gimbal hardware). 

         h).  Accessories: Liner and cover.
