BRAIDING PROCESS
To give corrugated hose the ability to withstand pressure,stainless steel wire is braided over the hose.Hoses may be single braided(one layer of braid) or double braided(two layers of braid) to achieve even greater working pressures. Braid is used on large-diameter hose.
Designing the proper braid for each type of corrugated hose requires sophisticated engineering to maintain the proper balance between the braid strength and the hose's flexibility. Fustar's braid packages offer several advantages:
1. High Percentage Braid Coverage - FUSTAR flexible hose has the highest percentage of braid coverage,yielding better cycle life and protection against damage to the hose.

Features
1. Unbraided corrugated tube elongates when pressurised above a certain level. To restrain this, a minimum of one external layer of braid is recommended, preventing longitudal expansion of the corrugated tube and thus increasing the internal pressure strength of the tube.
2. Our braids are also commonly used to sheeth hydraulic hoses, rubber hoses, plastic hoses and a wide range of other applications.
3. Wire braid is manufactured in our state of the art in house braid production facilities. Available in a variety of standard coil lengths and special lengths available upon request.
4. Braid is highly flexible and follows the movement of the hose. Excellent chemical resistance, durability and corrosion resistance.
5. Non-standard braids can be produced upon request.
6. Braid can be supplied loose, braided directly onto hose or supplied as part of hose assemblies.
